After earning a Bachelor's degree in International Relations, I immediately applied my research skills to a position at Honorlock, an ed-tech company. I conducted research to identify potential clients and built a comprehensive database of interested institutions in the USA. Leveraging my deep understanding of the country's socio-economic landscape, I transitioned to a logistics role at a Chicago-based freight-forwarding company.
In this position, I played a pivotal role in streamlining supply chain operations, ensuring efficient delivery across state lines. Despite my initial enthusiasm, the demanding nature of long night shifts took a toll on my well-being. Seeking a fresh perspective, I embarked on a trip to Tbilisi, Georgia, renowned for its vibrant tech community.
During my visit, I attended a startup event, where I discovered an app revolutionizing transportation in the EU by enabling partial shipments, resonating with my awareness of underutilized trucks on USA highways. Witnessing other innovative products strengthened my belief in technology's transformative power. Inspired, I decided to shift my career towards UX design to contribute to impactful change
Upon my return to work, I enrolled in a Google UX course, bridging distances by night and refining pixels by day. Months later, I volunteered as a graphic designer for UNFPA, putting my skills to use for meaningful causes. The following summer, I completed my first UX/UI internship at an Italian startup company, gaining invaluable hands-on experience.
